This principal is very fundamental to the mindset of this blog.
It is all about constantly keeping your eyes open for new ways of optimizing and saving time. Even also, when it is only a matter of a few seconds here and there.
Here is an example of how you can think of it:
Yesterday, I went out and bought a shoehorn, because I had been thinking about getting one for some time now.
I am normally very careful about not putting too much stuff into my apartment, so I don’t just go out and buy whatever I can think of.
However, it had hit me, that I am using a couple of seconds each morning on each foot, to tie my shoes. I had also noticed, that it was possible for me to press my foot down in my office shoes, if I just used my fingers as a shoe horn – which did hurt a little bit.
So I went out and bought it because I saw a way to save a few second every morning.
To many readers, this may seem very insignificant, but the idea is, that you always should act on new opportunities to save time or optimize your routines/systems. If you keep on looking out for them: saved seconds will quickly become minutes, which will become hours, which will mean more productivity for you.
Open your eyes and see, where you can find seconds for yourself everyday, and never think, that it isn’t worth it. It will pay of later when you have accumulated enough of them.
